Short Week, Great Learning

This week, we have continued to learn about nutrition. We focused more this week on which is considered a treat, and what is considered a healthy food. Students did great organizing their plate as well as making healthy life choices. Additionally, we started to work on our nutritional flip books. This week, we have worked on the dairy, fruits and vegetable sections of our books. We proceeded by reading a book from "Epic Books" called "I can eat a rainbow"

This week, we also worked on life skills for washing our hands the proper way. He worked on scrubbing both hands for 20 seconds before we proceed in rinsing under warm water. As a class, we will work more on this throughout the rest of the school year as we learn more about germs, and cleaning dirty areas before touching our faces, food, and others.

Here is a picture of washing hands that we have been working on for the past week. Remember, practice becomes perfect!

Since it was a short week, we are going in the next week with in continuing to finish up our projects. Stay tuned for updates at the end of next week.
