Halloween!!
Hello all!
Hope everyone had a great week. This week was filled with happiness, joy and smiles. As a class, we had a lot of fun, and worked hard on our transition routine. This week, we had the opportunity to carve pumpkins as a class! Students loved this, and participated in carving/ cleaning the pumpkin. We also attended the pumpkin patch, and we loved all of the creativity in what the other classes in our school did! We were so impressed.Mr. Tomczyk also came in this week to read spooky stories with our class using flashlights. Students did so well listening to our spooky spooky story!
Thank you parents for having your children participate in wearing costumes to school! They were so excited in showing off their outfits!
This week, we also did an activity for this upcoming Remembrance Day assembly. We have started practicing the poem that will be read for our share of the assembly. The poem we will be reading is called "Poppy Poppy" We also proceeded in making poppies made from coffee filters, pompoms and paint. Though it was messy, students loved this art idea, and it was a big success! Check out our photos below. As a class, we watched a video on what "Remembrance Day" means, as well as the importance of this day.
two students in our class has been practicing the lines of a poem for Remembrance Day. The other students will be included as well while these two students read the lines of the poem.
Poppy poppy what do you say?
Wear me on Remembrance Day.
Poppy poppy what do you tell?
Many soldiers in battle fell.
Poppy poppy what should we know?
That peace on earth should grow, grow, grow.
Have a great Halloween weekend!
